These words are written overlooking an incredible view of the mountains of North Carolina in the memory of my husband. They describe him perfectly.

Estas palabras estan escritas mirando hacia una vista increible de las montanhas de Carolina del Norte en memoria de mi marido. Le describen perfectamente.

The anniversary of his accident and his death are approaching. Right now there is a bubble inside of me that only allows me to do the things that are mandatory, like solving Luca's medical problems, taking care of paperwork, and getting ready to become a translator. I don't have much energy left to dedicate to my crafts and my blog. Hopefully soon I will be recharged again. This in this picture helps.

El aniversario de su accidente y de su muerte se aproximan. Ahora mismo hay una burbuja dentro de mi que solo me permite hacer las cosas obligatorias, como resolver los problemas medicos de Luca, ocuparme de papeleo, y prepararme para convertirme en traductora. No tengo mucha energia restante para dedicarme a mis manualidades ni a mi blog. Espero que pronto me vuelva a recargar. Lo de la foto ayuda.

Family reunion

We spent a few days at the beach with 52 other family members in a hotel. We were really out of the world and having a good time. I didn't even have much time to check any blogs or much emails, but soon I will be back. We are heading back to the US in just a few more days. A lot of doctor's visits and a big anniversary waiting for us in Gainesville along with a lot of good friends and family members. Also getting ready for my new professional activities. For now a view of a spanish lunch with a lot of people wearing a t-shirt that says our last name.

Pasamos unos dias en la playa con otros 52 miembros de mi familia en un hotel. Estabamos realmente fuera de todo pasandonoslo bien. No tuve mucho tiempo de mirar ningun blog ni de revisar el correo, pero pronto volvere a la normalidad. Volvemos a los EEUU en solo unos dias. Muchas visitas a medicos y un gran aniversario nos esperan en Gainesville junto con buenos amigos y mas familiares. Tambien la preparacion para mi nueva actividad profesional. Por ahora os pongo una imagen de muchos comiendo a la española y con una camiseta que dice nuestro apellido.

Alicante

I just wanted to share some images of the city where I spent my years as a student. Alicante is not a big city, rather quiet and surrounded by nice places. The harbor was right in front of our apartment and I miss seeing the sea very much.

Solo queria compartir algunas fotos de la ciudad donde pase mis años de estudiante. Alicante no es una ciudad grande, bastante calmada y rodeada de lugares chulos. El puerto estaba en frente de nuestro piso y echo mucho de menos ver el mar.

And for those who don't know it yet, my younger sister is an artist. She likes to paint portraits among other things she does very well. I love this mosaic she made of herself years ago.

Y para aquellos que no lo sepan aun, mi hermana menor es una artista. Le gusta pintar retratos entre otras cosas qeu hace muy bien. Me encanta este mosaico auntoretrato que hizo hace años.

Food in Spain

I have been enjoying the food here in Spain. I enjoyed the other day visitng a supermarket where I used to do my groceries back in my student years. There were some products that I wish we had in a regular store in the US. It was beautiful to look at these:

He estado disfrutando de la comida en España con ñ. El otro dia me lo pase bien en el supermercado al que solia comprar en mis años de estudiante. Habia productos que ya me gustaria a mi que los tuvieran en los supermercados normales de los EEUU. Era hasta bonito mirar a estos:

 

I can't believe half of my trip is gone. Time is going by me way too fast. There is too much going on for us when we get back to Gainesville and I really wish I could push our reality back a bit. But the sooner we deal with it, the better.

No me puedo creer que la mitad de mi viaje ya haya pasado. El tiempo vuela demasiado rapido. Hay demasiadas cosas a las que nos vamos a tener que afrontar cuando regresemos a Gainesville y la verdad es que me gustaria empujar nuestra realidad hacia atras. Pero cuanto antes nos enfrentemos a ello mejor.
