Coasters for a friend

I haven't been doing way too much in the sewing department, but I have done some. I might as well show it! My friends and I have been talking about making caipirinhas for a while. I actually went to their home one night and made some, although under very rudimentary conditions because we were lacking the mortar and pestle. Regardless, they were delicious, and it gave me an idea about what I could give my friend in his upcoming birthday. I bought a mortar and pestle for that purpose and made a set of six coasters to such special occasions. I also provided the limes and the cachasa is right here waiting also for the right occasion. Are they too flowery for a man?

No he estado haciendo mucho en el tema de la costura, pero algo he hecho. Asi que mas vale que lo ensenhe! Mis amigos y yo hemos estado hablando de hacer caipirinhas desde hace rato. De hecho fui a su casa una noche e hicimos unas, auqneu bajo condiciones un poco rudimentarias porque no teniamos con que machacar las limas y el hielo. Aun asi, estaban riquisimas, y me dio la idea del regalo que le podia hacer a mi amigo en su cumpleanhos. Compre un mortero de madera para caipirinhas y le hice un set de 6 posavasos para ocasiones especiales. Tambien le di las limas y la cachasa esta aqui esperando la ocasion adecuada. Son demasiado floreadas para un hombre?



I have also been very busy with Luca. It is a roller coaster of emotions. Sometimes it feels harder than I think it is, sometimes I have it under control, it is just a very sensitive subject overall and I guess I do get more sensitive with it than with anything else. I have been very fortunate to find some nice women who know what I 'm talking about through the blog and have been kind giving me their perspectives and feelings about it. Thank you so much for give me your insights about being deaf or hard of hearing, it is really encouraging for me.

Tambien he estado muy ocupada con Luca. Son muchos los altibajos. A veces parece mas dificil de lo que pienso que es, a veces lo tengo bajo control, es un tema del que soy muy sensible en general y a veces soy mas sensible de lo normal. He tenido la suerte de dar con un par de mujeres que saben de lo que hablo a traves de mi blog y han sido tan amables de darme su opinion y sentimientos en este tema. Muchas gracias por vuestra informacion sobre el hecho de ser sordo o con poca capacidad de audicion, es algo que me anima mucho.
