Great weekend

This weekend was a busy one for Luca and I. Well the weekend started early because it was homecoming at our University and there was nothing going on in this town other than the homecoming parade. I took Luca even though it was raining and that was a GREAT idea. He was so excited to see fire trucks, police cars, the bands, cars, and me, holding 2 umbrellas and the camera...just to see that face! It was worth it.

And then the bat festival. I was amazed by Luca's independence and way of solving problems. No, communication is not a problem for this boy and he enjoyed the music and rhythm so much, it made me very happy. Here playing some Australian sticks.

Aqui tocando unos palos australianos.

To end, my tatting...I just love taking it in my purse wherever I go, I am addicted and I hope I can get better at this! There it goes!

Dear Carmen, I am very happy for all that you and Luca have achieved over the year. You don't know me, but your writing never fails to inspire me, to remind me of all the joy we can live in, whatever the situation. Bea

I remember those parades and sounds. The noise from the firetrucks is so much nicer if you see him enjoying it!!
