First part done!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments about the slideshow. Looking at the pictures, I like having that feeling of missing him because it reminds me that I loved him so much:)

I have been finally working on the quilt I started at the beginning of the summer. It was for my bedroom, I had a moment of inspiration and started designing the quilt. I choose colors that are not ME at all, but I decided to go for a bit more serious look and also so play with basic colors that I am not familiar with. Grey was the main one since I got inspired by a Japanese curtain that I will use to decorate my wall and that a friend of mine gave me for my birthday. I finally put the patchwork together and now I am wondering if it is not too serious...I guess with the right accents should be good. So far this is how it looks. Now I need to get fabric for the back and batting.

Por fin he estado trabajando en la quilt que emepce al principio del verano. Es para mi dormitorioo, tuve un momento de inspiracion y empece diseñandola. Elegi colores que no son los típicos que yo eligiría, pero decidi hacerla de aspecto mas formal y jugar con colores base con los que no estoy tan familiarizada. El color gris fue el que elegi como principal ya que me inspire en una cortina japonesa que colgare de la pared y que me regalo una amiga por mi cumpleaños. Por fin hice la parte de patchwork y ahora me pregunto si no es demasiado formal...creo que con los toques adecuados en la habitacion deberia verse bien. De momento asi es como ha quedado. Ahora necesito tela para la parte de atras y el relleno.

And here is Luca with his home made bed, sleeping while I write, covered by a beautiful quilt that someone made especially for him. Isn't it amazing. He loves it and uses it all the time, it's the roof to his house and the blanket to his bed :)

Y aqui esta Luca con su cama hecha por el, durmiendo mientras yo escribo, cubierto por esta colcha tan bonita que alguien se la hizo especialmente a el. ¿Verdad que es preciosa? Le encanta y la usa a toda hora, es el tejado de su casa y la manta de su cama :)
